Hi,
I'm Xander. I am the resident ESA at Lavender's Refuge. I will be blogging weekly on the different things going on here at the rabbitry. We don't just have rabbits here, we have dogs, turtles, and cats. We love all animals and even more, love to share our animals with others.
This week we are launching a "reopening" of Lavender's Refuge. Amy took some time off to bond with her new ECAD service dog Silk. Amy is still beyond grateful for all the people who made Silk a reality for her. Silk helps with chores, for example, she carries the water jug for Amy, and let's Amy know if she is about to fall. She also alerts Amy if one of us (usually me LOL) sneaks out of the pasture and then lets her know where I hopped to. It is quite fun.
This week Amy had 2 bunny visits. Bunny visits are free for anyone who might benefit from it. She also spent a lot of time grooming and training the Jersey Wooly babies.
We also took in a rescue Peanut. Peanut is a 7 year old Teddy Witter that owner had passed away. Peanut is elderly and needed some medical care. Peanut will be staying with us in his final years. Amy loves him, I think he's quite spicy.
That's all for now. I'll update you all next week. Keep on hopping.
